Citrus Belt Amateur Radio Club
If you are going to be doing the radio Merit Badge at the Jamboree on The Air, I ask that you do some prep work to make the Merit Badge session quick, so we can get to playing with the radios.
The diagram for requirement 2a
3a, 3b, 3c
Research for 8 so we can discuss.
Prepare for (Do some research so you are somewhat familiar with these):
1a, 1b, 1c, 1d
5a, 5b (don’t do, just be ready to draw), 5c, 5d (be prepared to draw)
9a1, 9a4, 9a5, 9a6
The event should only take about an hour (depends on how many Scouts we have while we are taking care of the Merit Badge and radio portions. You can stay as long as you want, but do not need to allocate the whole day for the Merit badge and event.
I would like to have two Merit Badge sessions. One at 9:30am, and one at 2:00pm. If you cannot attend one of these times, let me know and I will accommodate as much as I can.
IF YOU PLAN ON ATTENDING, PLEASE EMAIL ME A ROUGH COUNT, AND IF YOU WILL BE DOING THE MERIT BADGE. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RSVP, BUT IT WOULD HELP ME TO GET AN IDEA AS TO HOW MANY SCOUTS I CAN EXPECT.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO BRING A SIGNED BLUE CARD IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO THE RADIO MERIT BADGE!!!!!

********** NOTICE **********
W9M Station is NOT part of Route 66 On The Air
There is currently a station using the call sign of W9M that is operating in the same timeframe as our event. W9M is NOT an official station of the Route 66 OnThe Air Special Event. If you work this station, NO credit will be given if requesting an official Route 66 On The Air certificate.
Additionally, this station may provide a QSL card for their station. On QRZ.com they show a picture of their proposed QSL card with “Route 66 On The Air” printed on it. They have NOT been given permission to use that phrase since they are not an official station for our event and should not list it as such.
We apologize if there has been confusion over this issue, you may send W9M an email by going to www.qrz.com and look up W9M.
